Last updated: August 12, 2026
App: 1998 Cam — Vintage Camera
Developer: AAAI Studio LLC
Google Play: com.aaai.cam1998
App Store: 1998 Cam - Vintage Camera
This page explains how users of 1998 Cam (published by AAAI Studio) can request deletion of their account and associated data. Use it if you signed in with Apple or Google to sync purchases, or if you want us to delete data we hold about you on our servers.
Full details of collection and processing are in our Privacy Policy.
How to request account & data deletion
Choose the path that matches how you use 1998 Cam. Either path is valid.
Option A — Delete in the app (fastest if you are signed in)
- Open 1998 Cam on your phone.
- Go to Settings (gear / menu).
- Open the account / purchase-sync section (wording may appear as Sync purchases or similar).
- If you are signed in with Apple or Google, tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. You may need to sign in with Apple or Google again so we can verify it is you.
In-app deletion removes cross-device account sync. It does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription by itself — cancel subscriptions in the store account settings if you no longer want to be charged.
Option B — Request by email (web path for Play listing)
- Email contact@aaai.studio with the subject 1998 Cam — Account & data deletion request.
- Include the information below so we can find and delete the right records.
- We will confirm when the request is complete (typically within 30 days; often sooner). We typically respond within 24–48 hours.
What to include in your email
- App name: 1998 Cam
- Store: Google Play and/or App Store
- Email address used for Sign in with Apple or Google (if you linked an account)
- Support code from the app Settings (if shown)
- Google Play order ID or App Store transaction (optional; helps with purchase-related records)
- Device type (Android / iPhone) and approximate country
- Clear statement that you want your account and associated personal data deleted
What data is deleted
When we process a verified account / data deletion request (or you complete in-app account deletion), we delete or de-identify the following server-side and account-linked data we control for that account, to the extent it exists:
- Account identity — Firebase Auth user record and linked Sign in with Apple / Google provider association for 1998 Cam
- Cross-device sync profile — identity / entitlement summary records keyed to your account (used to sync premium status across devices)
- Support identifiers — support code mapping tied to that account, if assigned
- Account-linked server records — other application data we store under that account ID that is not required to keep by law
Photos and edits on the devicelive in the app's local storage (Lab). Uninstalling the app removes local app data on that device. In-app account deletion focuses on the online account / sync identity and does not by itself erase photos you already saved to your camera roll or cloud photo library.
What data may be kept (and for how long)
Some information is retained for legal, security, fraud prevention, or because it is controlled by a third party (store or platform). Typical categories:
- Store purchase & subscription records — App Store / Google Play keep transaction history under their policies. We may retain limited purchase-chain identifiers needed for refunds, tax, or accounting for up to 7 years where required.
- Security / abuse logs — limited technical logs (e.g. IP or request metadata) may be kept for up to 90 days for security and fraud prevention, then deleted or aggregated.
- Analytics (Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase) — usage analytics are processed as aggregated or pseudonymous events under Google's retention settings (typically up to 14 months unless a shorter product setting applies). These are not restored as a user account.
- Advertising (e.g. Google AdMob) — ad networks may process device advertising identifiers and usage signals under their own policies. Reset the advertising ID in system settings and/or limit ad tracking as available on your device. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Crash diagnostics — crash reports may be retained for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) to maintain app stability, then deleted or de-identified.
- Backups — residual copies in encrypted backups may persist for up to 30–90 days until rotated out of the backup cycle after live deletion.
- Legal holds — if we must retain specific data for an active legal obligation, dispute, or government request, we keep only what is required and only for as long as required.
What account deletion does not do
- Cancel your subscription with Apple or Google — manage that in App Store / Google Play subscription settings
- Delete photos already exported to your device Photos / Gallery or third-party cloud
- Remove reviews you posted on the App Store or Google Play (use the store controls)
Timeline
- In-app account deletion: account unlink / server identity removal is initiated immediately after confirmation.
- Email requests: we aim to complete verified requests within 30 days of receiving enough information to locate your account.
- Backup / log rotation for residual copies: typically within 90 days after primary deletion.
